“AP® Human Geography with Mr. Sanchez was outstanding. He is extremely qualified and well versed with the information for the course. He understands the format, knows the tips and tricks, and has a multitude of anecdotes and examples that help students develop a profound grasp of the material.”

“Mr. Sanchez is a wonderful teacher and great at helping students understand the important concepts of Human Geography. He keeps students engaged in the subject and motivated to do well. He also privately tutored me for AP® United States History and was able to help me pass the exam in a short amount of time.”
Andrea A. – Southern Methodist University ’19
“Mr. Sanchez has a profound grasp of the global factors that define Human Geography. His high pass rates are a testament to not only his spectacular teaching ability but also the depth of knowledge he possesses in general history and human affairs.”
Nic G. – Tufts University ’19
“Without a doubt Mr. Sanchez’ class was one of my favorites during high school. His ability to engage and make students want to learn allowed for greater discussion than any other class I experienced.”
Andrew P. – University of Notre Dame ’19
“Mr. Sanchez really knows everything about AP Human Geography. He will teach you all you need to know for the exam, and then some. He doesn’t mince words; he’s very honest and up-front with you. Using the skills I learned in my very first AP class with him, I got 5’s on 7 AP exams and passed 7 others. He is one of the liveliest, most exciting teachers I have ever had! There was never a dull moment in his classroom! His stories were entertaining, memorable, and relevant!”

“Mr. Sanchez’ teaching techniques surpass those of most other teachers. It is nice to have a teacher who doesn’t just regurgitate the textbook to his students and give tests solely based on memorization. Mr. Sanchez is determined to deliver information in a way where students are able to absorb material and retain the knowledge far after the AP exam. This class effectively eased me into college level classes, as I learned how to benefit from lectures and gain knowledge through real life examples in the present and throughout history. We need more teachers that are as hard working and determined to teach as effectively as Mr. Sanchez.”
Makayla R. – University of Pennsylvania ’18
“Mr. Sanchez’ class taught me to be analytical. I was able to apply the knowledge I gained from Human Geography to many other classes throughout high school too. Mr. Sanchez often makes connections between the course content and his own life experiences, which made the information more relatable and engaging for me, and the skills I acquired from his class have stuck with me since ninth grade.”

“I had Mr. Sanchez my freshman year and it was my very first AP class, needless to say I was terrified. But after a year of having him I would say his class and his way of teaching the material was one of the best I had throughout my four years. He engages the students by using their senses…We were required to read the material, write outlines, then have verbal revision of the sections in class. By seeing, writing and saying it, we were drilling the material into our heads…terms such as “Sub-Saharan Africa” immediately triggered our minds to what he had taught us no matter what time of the year it was. His classes were never monotone lectures…His loud and boisterous personality also never made the class dull. After a year of class and his “Dorkapalooza” review session, I knew I was well prepared. I finished AP® Human Geography with a high A and passed the AP exam with a 4!”
Noureen A. – University of Miami ’18
“AP Human Geography was the very first Advanced Placement class I took in high school. Needless to say, the idea of being a freshman placed in a “college level class” was incredibly daunting to me. However, upon meeting Mr. Sanchez I was put completely at ease. The importance of passing the exam was instilled in us, but it was not the main focus of the class. The real attention was put into making sure we understood not just the material, but the AP process in general. AP Human Geography was a great introduction to the AP track for me because it showed me how the program works. Through this class I learned study habits, diligence, analysis techniques, how to write proper essays by condensing information, and how to manage my time while test-taking. Mr. Sanchez made the class interesting and interactive. He was able to make relevant connections to our lives in order for us to understand the material in the best way possible. Without this class I would been completely overwhelmed in the AP program. At the end of my high school career I completed 11 AP courses and passed 8 exams. I scored 4s and 5s on six out of those 8. Have a great time in Human Geo and when in doubt….”Sub-Saharan Africa!”

“I had Mr. Sanchez as an AP Human Geography teacher my freshman year. I just graduated high school and Human Geo is still my favorite class! Mr. Sanchez is hands down one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. He made the material very thought-provoking and personal, drawing from his own interesting experiences. I truly believe that he is the main reason I not only passed the AP exam, but scored a 5. If I had the chance to take another class of his, I would. I wish that he would follow me to college!”
